Emicool, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments , and Total Solar Distributions Generation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Total, have announced the opening of a solar power plant at the Emicool facility at the Dubai Investment Park.
Under this partnership, a grid-connected photovoltaic grid, with 792 solar panels, is now operational, providing a maximum power of 301 kWh and an annual output of 500,000 kWh.
The project will be implemented gradually, where the first phase of the installation on the ground has been completed and is ready for operation to produce 301 kWh and 500 thousand kWh annually.
The installation of the system at the Emicool facility will help provide district cooling services within the region, utilize solar energy, save energy and reduce carbon emissions.
The system connected with the grid is designed to achieve high savings, improve efficiency and self-reliance and reduce equipment and installation costs.A self-reliance billing mechanism avoids wasting excess electricity generated by diverting excess electricity to the grid, facilitating the accumulation of balances on it and enabling the imposition of production savings.
