Smart Dubai revealed the details of the “residence” service that it recently made available in cooperation and partnership with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, through the “Dubai Now” application, the central electronic services platform for Dubai residents, to complete their governmental transactions through their smart phones.
The “residence” service seeks to facilitate the transactions and procedures required to issue residence visas to members of society, with flexibility and high efficiency, and within a short time not exceeding 40 minutes, which saves time and effort on individuals. Where the procedures for issuing residency through the application require only 10 minutes, in addition to 30 minutes to two working days, to agree to the residency issuance.

It is noteworthy that Smart Dubai had launched during the “GITEX Technology Week 2019” a package of new government services within the “Dubai Now” application, and its number reached 27 services in the areas of residence, housing, education, transportation and charitable endowments, in cooperation with the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, and the Department Lands and properties, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, the Roads and Transport Authority, and the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation. With the addition of these services, the application “Dubai Now” has expanded to include 88 services provided by 30 participating agencies, by providing integrated experiences for customers through one platform.
