In the future”.

Corruption crimes are the biggest threat to INTERPOL members.

Experts and officials participating in the activities of the second day of the First World Police Summit, held in Dubai from 14 to 17 March, said that the development of modern crime, and its entry into a new virtual field, requires flexibility and speed in the application of the law, making it adaptable and capable of developing in turn.

The Director of the Financial Crimes and Anti-Corruption Center at Interpol, Rory Corcoran, said that the International Police Organization considered financial crimes and corruption as the single largest threat facing the organization’s 195 member states, after conducting a detailed assessment of the risks and threats among members.

He added: “We support our multi-pronged response strategy with data, analytics, and intelligence-based policing, as well as leveraging partnerships and collaborations between individuals, organizations and countries to ensure a coherent approach. Cryptocurrency and recent financial crimes in Asia alone, for example, have arrested more than 1,000 people, intercepted $275 million in illicit funds, and froze over 2,000 bank accounts.”
