Construction was constructed in Dubai within two weeks of a building using 3D technology. All construction work took place in the open air in order to show the potential of technology that does not need to control humidity and temperature.
Workers used a single 3D printer that was moved from one place to another with a crane. They also used special materials made of gypsum material. The building was built on a regular basis as the printed material for the columns was reinforced with concrete and iron. The floor of the building is ordinary panels. As for its windows and roof, it was added to it after printing the walls. The height of the two-story building is 9.5 meters, and an area of 640 square meters.
The building will be used as an administrative facility in Dubai Municipality. It is reported that 3D printing is an easy, low-cost and efficient way to make things. This technology will not only be used to introduce developments in the field of architecture, as the speed of 3D printing and its low cost contribute to providing solutions to social problems by helping to develop Affordable housing for everyone.
