
In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, David Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality confirmed that the service of issuing camping permits with caravans on beaches designated for this purpose has become free and available electronically on the department’s website, this comes with the aim of ensuring enjoyment Camping enthusiasts and caravans in the distinctive atmosphere of the beaches throughout the year, especially in the winter season, where this distinguished initiative contributes to enhancing the happiness and satisfaction of members of society.
Daoud Al-Hajri pointed out that the winter season every year witnesses a dense number of camps and an increase in the number of caravans and trailers heading to the beach, given the nature of the beautiful and attractive atmosphere that characterizes the beaches of Dubai, stressing that those who want to camp on the beach must still obtain a prior permit from Dubai Municipality before heading to the site, which is issued free of charge without fees, as he explained that the beach currently designated in the emirate for this activity is the beach in the Al Sufouh area adjacent to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Street,
He added that the necessary permits can be obtained electronically without the need to visit the department, as a confirmation of its quest for Dubai to be a smart and sustainable city, where the applicant must enter the necessary data and documents through the Dubai Municipality website, and the permit is issued immediately and directly, which allows For its holder camping at the specified location for a period of 15 days, noting that the permit aims to ensure proper planning for this type of beach use.
Dawood Al-Hajri appealed to beachgoers in general and camping enthusiasts in particular, the importance of adhering to and adhering to the regulatory and environmental guidelines and controls that define the beaches’ uses, out of concern for the safety, security and comfort of their visitors, and to ensure the preservation of the beaches and environment of the emirate, noting that the Dubai Municipality teams work in cooperation with Other bodies will take the necessary steps towards following up the site to ensure that everyone adheres to the regulatory controls and in a way that serves the public interest.
It is noteworthy that all public beaches in the Emirate of Dubai have attained, for the third year in a row, the international accreditation of the Blue Flag program, which confirms the commitment of the Dubai Municipality to make all its beach facilities compatible with the standards required by the organization, which covers many areas, including: water quality, environmental sustainability Safety and security equipment, environmental awareness and education, as well as facilities and services.
