Flydubai intends to suspend its air operations from next Thursday, March 26, 2020, at 23:59 to 23:59 from Thursday, April 9, as part of the precautionary measures that are being implemented in response to the repercussions of the “Covid-19” virus outbreak.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, said: “This situation is clearly unprecedented for the aviation sector, and indeed the world at large, but we in flydubai were as ready as possible, and we consider this period as an opportunity to re-calibrate our business and our continued focus on laying The basis, together, for a smooth and full return to service in a timely manner. ”
He added: “Our operational focus may change in the short term, but the work is continuing, and we have redirected internal resources to important business needs, including the highest levels of customer support and care of our fleet, as we have implemented a large-scale maintenance and care program to ensure that all of our stalled aircraft remain in accordance with the highest International Standards. ”
It is worth noting that flydubai has already established plans and procedures for remote work, as the airline’s offices are located in three different locations before moving to the new main building that is under construction.
In line with government guidelines, its workforce has been deployed into teams that have moved across its various offices to continue to support their operations.
In addition, a number of teams work remotely from their homes, supported by a number of new initiatives and technologies to implement the work remotely and at the same time embody the spirit of cooperation that reflects the values of flydubai.
