The Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Khalifa Al-Drai, told «Emirates Today» that the smart helmet recently introduced by the Foundation is currently under experiment, and is part of the Foundation’s efforts in providing the latest equipment and ambulance equipment in the world, and training Dubai paramedics in accordance with the directions of leadership, In order to provide the highest levels of prevention and health safety in the emirate.
He explained that the helmet adopts artificial intelligence techniques in its mechanism of work, so that it is programmed electronically by the paramedic, and it is linked to a smart program on the mobile phone, to enable the paramedic to measure the temperature of a person by looking at him using the helmet, and then identify the possibility of being infected with the Corona virus (Covid) 19) and take action.
Al-Dray pointed out that the smart helmet will be tried to work inside and outside buildings, to measure its effectiveness in discovering and checking cases according to the air temperature.
